Why I Left My Nursing Career

I did something completely out of my comfort zone today.  I left my position as a Registered Nurse at the Cleveland Clinic after 6 years of service.  It hasn't sunk in yet.  It doesn't seem real.  I just have to get this off my chest! My healthcare career began back in high school.  My junior year to be exact.  I attended a vocational school in order to become a State Tested Nursing Assistant.  From there I moved on to study for my LPN and eventually obtained my Associates Degree of Nursing (ADN).  So after all of that time and money spent towards my education, why would I choose to just walk away from it? In February of 2013, my daughter was born.  When you hear people say a child changes your life, it is so very true.  I will be thanking my sweet little girl for eternity.  She has no idea  that her existence has lead me to my true purpose in life. I cant wait to share it with her. Two days after she was born I remember sitting in a wheelchair waiting at the hospital doo
